Much of Yeshua’s ministry was on or around the Sea of Galilee. The reconstructed boat in the opening tile is a first century boat, which would certainly be representative of those Yeshua would have used. The picture above shows how that boat would have looked like in the first century.

Our desire is that Lifeboats be places and times where healing, repentance, and forgiveness regularly occur. They are a safe place where love, acceptance, and forgiveness abound, and where people are welcomed just as they are.

Lifeboats and Erev Shabbats (see Erev Shabbat Group) are the perfect place for the visitor to start at the Lighthouse. If you desire to visit, please email Steve and he will respond with the dates and locations of the next meetings.

Lifeboats

When we started as a park outreach in 2004, our desire was to shine the light of Yeshua into this darkened world: a ‘lighthouse’ to help people come toward the light of Yeshua. Early on we realized the need for smaller groups meeting at the end of our service and in homes to help support hurting and struggling people in danger of sinking.

These small groups are called Lifeboats. Currently, on the second and fourth Sabbath of the month there is no normal convocation at our normal facility. Instead we meet in these smaller groups of 4-12 persons in the home of one of the Lighthouse families. These Lifeboat meetings are similar to the structure of our larger convocation but with a smaller group of people.

Lifeboats are intended to be intimate, relational, and focused times of attempting to grow in our love of God and each other. Each Lifeboat contains a time for a kosher Oneg (potluck) meal and fellowship in addition to our regular service.
